In the summer of 2004, we had our first screening. We wanted to have a small community screening in our Mile-End/Parc Ex neighborhood, and we showed only films by the members of the Volatile Works collective. About 60 people were in attendance that evening. But after making links with other groups and individuals at screenings and events, we decided in 2005 to screen works by invited filmmakers and video artists. We had over 120 people at our screening at the Volatile Shorts 05 screening. We continued the tradition of inviting filmmakers and video artists in 2006 and had another successful evening of Volatile Shorts, with an attendance of over 100 people. All our screenings have been organized in conjunction with Café Toc Toc (avenue du Parc /Van Horne). Here are the programs from each screening:

Durant l’été de 2004, nous avons organisé notre première projection. On voulait organiser une petite projection communautaire dans notre coin, Mile-End/Parc Ex, et nous avons seulement projeté des films par les membres du collectif Volatile Works. Il y avait environ 60 personnes présentes avec nous ce soir-là. Nous avons eu plus de 120 personnes pour la projection Courts métrages Volatils 05. Nous avons continué la tradition d’invité des cinéastes et vidéastes en 2006, et nous avons eu une autre belle soirée avec plus de 100 personnes.
