Uncanny

2006 | Super-8 | B&W - colour | 15 min

Uncanny: from the German unheimlich, meaning that which is outside the familiar, or the home.

A young girl reads a horror comic about a businessman who abducts itinerant women with uncanny results. Shot in Super-8, the film pays tribute to 1950s horror comics and B-movies with an eye to the tradition of voyeurism in horror cinema.
