lou and pomgrenade have each contributed pieces to the latest digital issue of Public, a journal of art, culture, and ideas. lou contributed his animation Ikuma Siku, while pomgrenade collaborated on a web essay about the politics of new media with Ayesha Hameed. lou also spent countless hours designing the fabulous looking DVD component of journal. Two days before International Women’s Day film enthusiasts from across the city will gather to celebrate the handiwork of women filmmakers with Montreal’s first annual (Super) Reel Dames Film Festival.

Co-presented with Catcall, a monthly open stage for women-fronted performances of all shapes and sizes, SRD is a showcase of film/video projects where women play primary roles (such as director, producer, sound engineer, etc.)

This year’s program features numerous works that range from animation and experimental to amateur and documentary, with submissions from Montreal, Victoria, Berlin and Paris. The majority of the works were done on Super 8 film. Pomgrenade's NatoNosferatu will be among the films screened.

Donkey Harvest received the Coppa Cannibale Award at the 19th Stuttgart Filmwinter in Germany. This award goes to an artistic work which connects cannibalism and humanity.
