Le collectif Volatile Works a été invité à participer au Festival/Conférence/Foire d'art Version>05, à Chicago, du 22 avril-1 mai, 2005. Le festival a organisé deux projections d'un programme VW de 26 minutes avec quatre films (House, NatoNosferatu, Resettlement, et Zombie Business). Le collectif VW a aussi été invité à participer dans l'Expo NFO au Centre Zhou Be. Et finalement, l'installation de pomgrenade, The War Game Room, va aussi être présentée au festival.

The Volatile Works collective has been invited to participate in the Version>05 Festival/Conference/Arts Fair, in Chicago from April 22 to May 1, 2005. The festival will have two screenings of a 26 minute VW programme, which consists of four films (House, NatoNosferatu, Resettlement, and Zombie Business). The VW collective has also been invited to participate in the NFO Expo with other collectives at the Zhou B Center. Finally, pomgrenade's installation, The War Game Room, will also be displayed at the festival.

NatoNosferatu, le "vidéo scratch" de pomgrenade, sera diffusé dans une programmation retrospective pour la 30e anniversaire de Groupe Intervention Vidéo (GIV) dans le cadre du Festival Internationale du Film sur l'Art (FIFA), samedi le 12 mars à 19h au Musée d'Art Contemporain (Montréal).

pomgrenade's short scratch video NatoNosferatu will be shown in a retrospective program for the 30th anniversary of Groupe Intervention Vidéo (GIV) as part of the International Festival of Films on Art, on saturday, March 12 at 7pm at the Musée d'Art Contemporain (Montreal).

For the first time, two VW members had their films presented in the same festival! Witkacy's experimental shorts, Pig Runner and House, were projected with Mario's Zombie Business, in the Going Underground programme of Kinofilm, the Manchester International Short Film Festival, on Saturday February 26th.

House a été projeté dans le cadre de la 23ème édition de les Rendez-vous du cinéma Québécois, le 20 février, et a été choisi comme finaliste du Prix CALQ dans la compétition Art et expérimentation.

House was screened at the 23e les Rendez-vous du cinéma Québécois on February 20th and was selected as one of eight finalists in the experimental film competition, sponsored by CALQ.

Quatre membres de Volatils ont contribué comme instructeurs et aussi participant(e)s aux ATELIERS DE FORMATION VIDÉO organisés par Les Lucioles, Samedi et dimanche, le 8-9 janvier (2005), au QPIRG McGill.

C'était conçu comme une fin de semaine pour démystifier et démocratiser les connaissances techniques vidéos. Un vidéo produit par les participant(e)s de l'atelier sera bientôt en ligne.

Four Volatile members were workshop instructors and participants in a VIDEO TRAINING WORKSHOP organized by Les Lucioles, Saturday and Sunday, the 8-9th of January (2005), at McGill QPIRG.

The weekend was conceived as a space to demystify and democratize video/digital technologies. A video produced by workshop participants will soon be on-line!
