Lou

Lou currently finds his passion in animation and digital video. He has an MFA from Concordia University and has exhibited his installation work in a number of group and solo shows throughout Montréal and across Canada. In recent years, he has worked for software startup companies in the areas of new media, 3D web integration and video games. He is also a freelance web/graphic designer, but spends most of his time divided between his latest animation projects. He is a stop-motion animation freak, special effects compositor, pixel pusher, GUI designer, video editor, cameraman, photographer, software tutorial facilitator, and a big-time gamer. Sometimes he turns into a werewolf named Lou, the protagonist in his next animated short.

Mario est un Montréalais d'origine Québécoise et Italienne (du sud). Il écrit fréquemment dans le domaine de cinéma et religion. Il a publié des articles pour le Journal of Religion and Film et le Journal of Religion and Popular Culture. Il écrit aussi des critiques de films pour la revue du genre d’horreur Rue-Morgue. Il est un cinéaste indépendant qui travaille principalement en super-8 et en 16mm. Ses films parcourent les régions limites du cinéma d'exploitation et le genre d'horreur avec les sensibilités «agit-prop». Par conséquent, son intérêt dans les films de Herschell Gordon Lewis et Pier Paolo Pasolini.


Mario is a native Montréaler of Québecois and southern Italian parentage. He often writes in the area of film and religion. He has published articles for the Journal of Religion and Film and for the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture. He is also a film reviewer for the horror genre magazine Rue-Morgue. He has been an independent filmmaker for several years, working primarily in super-8 and 16mm. His films scan the border regions of exploitation cinema and the horror genre with agit-prop sensibilities. Hence, his interest in the films of Herschell Gordon Lewis and Pier Paolo Pasolini.

pomgrenade is a multifaceted kind of gal. she has been active in experimental and documentary film and video production, community radio and sound, lo-fi digital media, and all around media jamming and social activism for over ten years. she is also doing the doctoral student thing in media and communication studies, and is currently working on her dissertation that looks at the relationship between recent news media representations of immigration and the increasingly racist and exclusionary nature of canadian immigration policy. she has published in various venues, from web rants to academic journals. when she can manage the time, she also lends a hand in anti-deportation support work.

Known to his friends as Ruby, Christopher MacKinnon grew up in the Maritimes and decided to leave the life his parents tried to map out for him and moved to Montreal. He is an independent filmmaker, writer, and musician.
